Pottsville Man in Custody After Assaulting Two Men with a Golf Club


A Pottsville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after he assaulted two men with a golf club early Tuesday.

According to Police Chief John Morrow, on Tuesday, December 27th, 2022, around 2:00am, Pottsville Police were dispatched to an address in the 700 block of West Market Street for a report of a disturbance. 

Through an investigation, police learned Daniel Carrington, 47, of Pottsville, struck a 25-year-old male and a 37-year-old-male with a golf club, causing injury to both victims. 

Carrington was taken into custody and arraigned on charges of Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and Harassment. Carrington was committed to Schuylkill County Prison, after being unable to post $15,000 straight cash bail that was set by on-call Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker.
