Shenandoah Woman Locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for Attacking Mother

A Shenandoah woman is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after a domestic with her mother over the weekend.

According to court documents, the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville were called to a home in the 100-unit block of North Jardin Street around 6:30am, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, for a report of a domestic in progress.

This was the second time within a 20-minute time period that police were called to the home.

At the scene, a woman reported that her daughter, Lizsandra Deleon, 19, of Shenandoah, and herself were involved in a physical altercation after they were both up all night drinking.

The pair reportedly got into an argument over family matters.

After police left the scene from the first call, Deleon became very aggressive, and she began to strike her mother with an open and closed fist.

Deleon left the home and when she returned, her mother had locked her out.  Deleon then grabbed a bottle in the street, broke a window to get back inside, and attacked her mother again, hitting her and biting her.

Numerous bruises and scratches were visible on the mother from the attacks.

Deleon was taken into custody on charges on simple assault, criminal mischief involving damage to property, harassment, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, purchasing alcohol by a minor.

She was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Rossi and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $10,000 straight cash bail.
