First Outdoor Market Held in Pottsville

On Saturday, the first Pottsville Outdoor Market was held.

It was held in the Alvernia University Collegetowne parking lot on Progress Avenue in Pottsville from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Approximately 40 vendors, crafters, and local businesses took part in the event. Alvernia was also open for students interested in touring the facility.

Saturday's is the first of 7 markets that will take place throughout the Spring and Summer.

The market was organized by Amanda Marx, owner of Queen Bee Boutique and Jonathan Morris, owner of the North Centre Plaza.

The proceeds from the event are being donated to the Pottsville Christmas Light Fund. The proceeds for future markets will be donated to other causes and non-profits.
