The victim of a fatal crash in Ryan Township on Sunday afternoon has been identified.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred just before 1:30pm on Barnesville Drive (Route 54) near the intersection with Berkley Road.
Troopers say the crash occurred as Russell Brobst, 44, of Frackville was traveling west on Route 54 in a Chrysler Concorde and crossed the eastbound lane and struck a tree head on.
Brobst died from his injuries and was pronounced at the scene by Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Andrew Szczyglak at 1:50pm.
The crash is still under investigation.
