A McAdoo man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after a domestic incident.
According to court documents, on Sunday, April 30, 2023, around 11:40am, the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville were called to the 200 Block of East Sherman Street for an inactive domestic incident.
A woman told police that she fled the home after was involved in a physical altercation with her boyfriend, Zachary Wandzilak, 24, of McAdoo. The woman told police that Wandzilak pinned her down and punched her numerous times. The victim had numerous visible scratches and bruises from the incident. She also had a black and blue left eye.
Troopers spoke with Wandzilak who denied any involvement.
Wandzilak was taken into custody by Trooper John Szczyglak and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
He was then transported to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $15,000 straight cash bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled before Judge Tarantelli on May 10, 2023.
