A man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for a sexual assault at a Distribution Center in Tremont Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Monday, June 26, 2023, Troopers investigated a reported sexual assault at the Big Lots Distribution Center on Rausch Creek Road.
A woman reported that on Friday, June 23, 2023, around 10:00am, she was cleaning an upstairs men's bathroom at the facility when Rickford Lucas, 43, of Ashland entered.
Lucas reportedly asked the woman to perform oral sex, and when she said "No" and attempted to walk out of the bathroom, he grabbed her by the back of her shirt and would not let her leave. Troopers say he then forced the victim to perform oral sex on him.
Troopers interviewed Lucas who admitted to committing the crime.
Lucas was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, and unlawful restraint.
He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Rossi and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $75,000 straight cash bail.
