Former Employee Faces Charges for Stealing from Garage in Minersville

A Schuylkill Haven man is facing charges after he allegedly stole from a garage he used to work at in Minersville.

According to Minersville Sgt. Jeffrey Bowers, on March 24, 2023, he was contacted by the owner of Ochs Service Center to report that his employee, Williams Boris, 39, of Schuylkill Haven, had removed multiple items from his property before being terminated.

An investigation found that Boris stole:

  • 1995 Camaro Rim
  • 2014 Equinox Converter
  • Suburban Converter
  • HHR Converter
  • Dodge Avenger Rim
  • Ford 5.4 Timing Kit, oil pump, y-pipe
  • Halo Booster
  • Rockford Fosgate Amp
  • Milwaukee Saw
  • Maddox Exhaust Expander
  • Family heirloom Ring
The total value of all the items stolen estimated over $6,000.

As a result of the investigation, on September 7th, 2023, Sgt. Bowers charged Boris with felony theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property through Magisterial District Judge David Plachko's office.
