Shenandoah Man in Custody for Alleged Domestic Incident

A Shenandoah man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for a domestic incident over the weekend.

According to court documents filed by the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Saturday, October 28th, 2023, around 1:30pm, police responded to the 200 block of North White Street for a report of a physical domestic.

Troopers arrived and spoke with a woman and her son and learned that Francisco Ramos, 40 of Shenandoah, had been drinking and assaulted a woman by punching her in the head numerous times and while she was on the ground, kicked her.

The victim had visible trauma on her face and head consistent with what was reported.

Ramos had fled the scene prior to police arriving, but was taken into custody later in the day on Saturday.

He was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua, on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment.

Ramos was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $10,000 straight cash bail.

Ramos will appear before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker, Shenandoah, on December 7th, 2023, for a preliminary hearing.
