Tamaqua's Little Miss Spirit of Christmas has been crowned for 2023.
This year's winner was 10-year-old Olivia Quick of Tamaqua. She is the daughter of Amy and Clair "C.J." Quick.
Quick was chosen after submitting a short essay explaining "What Christmas Means to Me".
Quick's submission was "The spirit of Christmas means to me is the miraculous birth of Jesus, warmth, and love of family and the happiness of belonging to a community".
The essays were voted on while displayed at Hope & Coffee in Tamaqua during the month of November.
Olivia's duties include participating in the upcoming Spirit of Christmas Festival in Tamaqua from December 1st, 2023, through December 3rd, 2023.
