Pennsylvania State Trooper Stabbed Multiple Times in Hamburg While Serving Warrant


A Pennsylvania State Police Trooper was injured Saturday morning while serving a warrant in Berks County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, on Saturday, December 30th, 2023, at 8:42 AM two troopers from PSP Hamburg were dispatched to 293 Bachmoll Road, Tilden Township, Berks County. 

They were there to serve a 302 warrant on a 27- year- old male. 

During their interaction with the male one of the troopers was stabbed numerous times in the leg. 

The male was then taken into custody and transported to Penn State St Joseph’s Hospital for a 302 evaluation. 

After evaluation at Penn State St Joseph’s Hospital for the 302 warrant the male was taken into PSP custody and transported to PSP Hamburg.

Bradley Odenath, of Pine Hill, NJ, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, and harassment.  Odenath was taken to the Berks County Central Processing Center for arraignment on the above charges and locked up in Berks County Prison on $100,000 straight cash bail.

The injured trooper was taken by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. The sustained injuries are not life threatening.
