Domestic Incident that Began in Shenandoah and Ends in Frackville, Lands Man in Schuylkill County Prison

A domestic incident that went on for several miles ended with a man being locked up in Schuylkill County Prison.

According to court documents, on Sunday, February 11th, 2024, around 12:15am, Frackville Police requested Shenandoah Police meet them at Lehigh and Oak Streets in Frackville for a report of a rolling domestic.

At the location, Frackville Police had a male in custody, identified as Dayshawn Harris, 39, of Mahanoy Plane, and detained in a patrol vehicle.

A female was at the scene sitting in a vehicle partially parked on the sidewalk.

Frackville Police told Shenandoah Captain Travis Bowman and Officer Hugh Clinton, that the domestic incident allegedly started between the married couple in Shenandoah.

The woman told police that in Shenandoah on Jardin Street, a male had entered and exited her vehicle.  As she began to drive away, a vehicle honked from behind.

The vehicle began to follow and struck her rear bumper while she was driving.  At this point, the woman recognized the vehicle as her husband, Harris.

While still in Shenandoah, she continued to drive when Harris rear ended her a second time.

She continued to drive south and into Frackville where Harris struck from behind a 3rd time causing her to lose control and come to a stop partially on the sidewalk in the area of Lehigh and Oak Streets.  At this point, she called 911.

As a result of the incident, Officer Clinton charged Harris with 2 counts of simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Harris was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and set bail at $15,000 straight cash.  Harris remains locked up in Schuylkill County Prison with a preliminary hearing scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Kilker on February 22nd, 2024.
