Gordon Man Faces Burglary Charges

A Gordon man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on burglary charges.

According to court papers, on Friday around 7:30am, Butler Township received a report of a burglary in progress in the 500 Block of McKnight Street in Gordon.

The caller told 911 that a David Sadusky had broken into her rear porch area, destroyed two cameras, and removed a mountain bike.

Butler Township Police Chief Christopher Hand and Sgt. Vinskie arrived and made contact with the caller who said that she followed the bicycle tracks from her yard to the rear of Sadusky's garage.  The bike was reportedly visible from outside the garage since the door was open.

The officers spoke with 44-year-old Sadusky and placed him under arrest.

The officers also spoke with a neighbor who witnessed the burglary and reported Sadusky removing the bike, taking it to his garage, then returning a second time to the porch area of the caller, and removing a tool.

Sadusky was charged by Butler Township Police with felony burglary and criminal trespass, and misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief.

He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $75,000 straight cash bail.

He remains in prison with a preliminary hearing scheduled before Judge Tarantelli for February 28th, 2024.
