Man Assaulted in Road Rage Altercation Near Frackville

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating an altercation that occurred after a road rage incident in West Mahanoy Township.

According to Troopers, police were called to the Speedway Gas Station on South Lehigh Avenue in West Mahanoy Township near Frackville on Friday morning around 6:15am for a simple assault.

At the scene, police learned that a verbal altercation occurred following a road rage incident.  During the altercation, a 31-year-old male was physically assaulted by three unknown suspects.  The victim was injured in the assault.

One of the suspects was described as an African American male who was wearing a ski mask.  The victim could not give a description of the other two suspects.  After the assault, the suspects are believed to have fled southbound on Route 61 in a gray Mercedes-Benz sedan with window tint and a loud exhaust.
