A wanted Pottsville man was taken into custody after he fled from a traffic stop in Minersville.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, on Monday, February 26th, 2024, just after 2:00am, Troopers initiated a traffic stop on a Volkswagen on South Delaware Avenue in Minersville near Sunbury Street.
As the vehicle pulled over, a male fled on foot from the front passenger seat.
A foot pursuit occurred and the male, identified as Justin Yurkonis 25, of Pottsville was taken into custody.
Yurkonis was found to have multiple outstanding warrants and was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison.
