A Mahanoy City man was taken into custody overnight in connection with an explosive incident that occurred Monday evening at the St. Teresa of Calcutta Rectory.
Kyle Kuczynski, 32, was apprehended Tuesday evening and committed to Schuylkill County Prison on a County bench warrant. Kuczynski is suspected of igniting an explosive device inside the chapel of the rectory on the evening of May 6th.
Kuczynski is expected to be arraigned later today on charges of arson and related offenses stemming from the incident.
Officials have not yet released further details and court information was not available as of this posting.
