Schuylkill Haven Man Faces Multiple Charges After Three-Vehicle Crash in Pottsville

A Schuylkill Haven man is facing multiple charges after allegedly causing a three-vehicle crash while under the influence of drugs and alcohol in Pottsville on Saturday evening.

According to Pottsville Police, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of South Centre Street at approximately 5:51 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, for a reported motor vehicle accident involving three vehicles.

The driver found to be at fault, 37-year-old Jordan Pflueger of Schuylkill Haven, was operating a silver Toyota Tacoma heading north on South Centre Street when he crossed into the opposite lane of traffic. Pflueger's vehicle struck a maroon Chevrolet Silverado traveling south, then continued on, colliding with a legally parked and unattended vehicle and an ornamental light pole. His vehicle became disabled following the second impact.

Pflueger fled the scene on foot but was later located and apprehended by police in a wooded area near South 2nd Street. Upon being taken into custody, he admitted to being under the influence of a controlled substance and alcohol at the time of the crash.

Two occupants of the maroon Silverado were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital East for treatment of injuries sustained in the collision. All three vehicles involved in the crash were towed from the scene.

As a result of the investigation, Pflueger is facing several charges, including:

  • One count of accidents involving damage to attended vehicle/property (Misdemeanor 3)
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
  • General impairment (Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
  • Failure to keep right (Summary Offense)
  • Reckless driving (Summary Offense)
  • Required financial responsibility (Summary Offense)
  • Two counts of accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property (Summary Offenses)
