A Dauphin County man is facing charges after allegedly inappropriately touching a juvenile girl in Schuylkill County last year.
According to court documents filed by the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the investigation began in May 2024 when troopers received a ChildLine referral involving a 15-year-old female victim. The girl reported that Domitilo Zavala, who was 33 years old at the time, had touched her inappropriately while she was sleeping at her home in Ringtown.
Investigators say the girl’s mother removed Zavala from the home immediately after learning of the alleged incident. Court documents did not state Zavala's relation or why he was at the home.
In June 2024, the victim was interviewed at the UPMC Children's Resource Center in Harrisburg, where she detailed to authorities that she awoke to find Zavala next to her bed, touching her without consent.
Following the investigation, charges were filed against Zavala on June 9th, 2025, including misdemeanor counts of corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person under 16 years of age.
Zavala is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli on July 9, 2025.
