Delano Woman Charged After Reported Assault Incidents in Ryan Township

A Delano woman is facing multiple charges following a series of alleged assaults and disturbances at a residence in Ryan Township, Schuylkill County.
According to court documents filed through Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli’s office, Nicole M. Yeich, 37, of Delano, was charged on June 12, 2025, with the following offenses related to incidents that occurred on April 30, 2025:
  • Simple Assault (Misdemeanor 2)
  • Strangulation – Applying Pressure to Throat or Neck (Misdemeanor 2)
  • Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact (Misdemeanor 3)
  • Disorderly Conduct – Engage in Fighting (Misdemeanor 3)
The charges stem from a dispute involving Yeich and the residents of a home where she and her boyfriend, Scott Kahley, had been staying since February 2025. The homeowner told police he had allowed the couple to stay temporarily under the agreement they would contribute to household expenses. In March, the homeowner and his fiancé reportedly asked Yeich and Kahley to move out, stating they were planning to get married and no longer wanted other residents in the home. Initially, the couple agreed to leave by April 1 but later stated they lacked the funds to move.

On April 30, a verbal altercation reportedly broke out between Yeich and the residents. Later that evening, around 9:30 p.m., Yeich, along with her boyfriend and daughter, returned to the residence, where the situation escalated. According to the victim, Yeich began shouting insults and accusations. The confrontation turned physical when Yeich allegedly grabbed the female victim by the throat, shoved her backwards, and caused her to hit her head on a portable heater, rendering her briefly unconscious.

The victim told police she struggled to breathe during the incident and later experienced ongoing pain. After regaining consciousness, she reported Yeich repeatedly yelled, "I'm gonna go to jail!" and demanded the couple not report the assault.

Additionally, the victim claimed that after state police left the scene, Kahley shoved her, causing her to fall onto stacked crates. Days later, she reportedly sought treatment at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pottsville, where she was diagnosed with a fractured rib.

A second confrontation reportedly occurred on May 18, when Yeich allegedly struck the victim in the face during another dispute over household items. The victim stated she suffered bruising to the bridge of her nose and forehead after falling into a wall from the impact.

Following these incidents, state police investigated and filed the above charges on June 12th, 2025. An arrest warrant for Yeich was issued as part of the complaint.
