A section of Interstate 81 Northbound in Schuylkill County is currently closed following an early morning tractor trailer crash.
The incident occurred just before 5:00 AM Tuesday in the northbound lanes near mile marker 113 in Foster Township.
As a result of the crash, all northbound lanes are shut down at the Hegins exit (mile marker 112), with a detour route in place to redirect traffic off the interstate.
Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays and are urged to use caution or seek alternate routes while crews work to clear the scene.
No word has been released on potential injuries or how long the closure is expected to last.
