Minersville Police Investigating Assault That Left One Hospitalized with Severe Head Trauma


The Minersville Police Department is investigating a violent assault that occurred Thursday afternoon, June 5, 2025, in the borough.
According to Police Chief Jeffrey Bowers, the incident took place around 4:45 PM in the area of Front Street and Lewis Street. A male victim was reportedly struck from behind by an unidentified assailant who fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Eyewitnesses described seeing a male wearing a green hooded sweatshirt fleeing the area via Lewis Street shortly after the incident occurred.

The victim sustained severe head trauma as a result of the assault and was flown to an area hospital for treatment. His current condition has not been released.

Minersville Police, led by Chief Jeffrey Bowers, canvassed the neighborhood following the attack and are now seeking assistance from the public. Anyone who may have witnessed the assault or who possesses home surveillance footage from the area is urged to come forward.
