Hometown Fire Company Receives $5,000 Donation from Ladies Auxiliary for Hall Repairs

The Hometown Fire Company recently received a generous $5,000 donation from its Ladies Auxiliary to assist with much-needed hall repairs.
The contribution, raised through several community fundraising events, was presented during a recent gathering of fire company members and auxiliary volunteers.

“We are fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who answer the call no matter what time of day,” said Lori Kane, President of the Hometown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. “They spend countless hours training and protecting our community—not to mention the time and effort they put into fundraising. Our Ladies Auxiliary is proud to support them however we can.”

The funds were generated through events such as the Children’s Paint Events and the Election Day Food Sale, organized by the Auxiliary.

“We may be a small group, but we’re mighty,” Kane added. “We welcome anyone interested in helping our fire company and serving the community to join us.”

Residents interested in volunteering with the Hometown Fire Company or its auxiliary can call (570) 668-0274 or email hometownvolunteer25@gmail.com for more information.
