Tri-Valley Wins District 24 Major League Championship, Advances to Section 3 Tournament



Tri-Valley claimed the District 24 Major League Little League championship on Sunday night with a commanding 9-2 win over Ashland at Toewe/Rebuck Field in Ashland.
Backed by a strong start and consistent offensive production, Tri-Valley jumped out early, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning. They followed with two more runs in the second and capped off their scoring surge with a four-run fourth inning, building a comfortable 9-0 lead heading into the fifth.

Ashland managed to put two runs on the board in the top of the fifth, but Tri-Valley's lead proved insurmountable.

With the victory, Tri-Valley moves on to represent District 24 in the Section 3 Tournament, taking another step forward in their pursuit of a state title.

This was Tri-Valley 2nd year in a row claiming the title.
