Driver Hospitalized Following Rollover Crash in Frackville



Emergency crews responded to a crash involving a rollover and entrapment Wednesday morning at the intersection of West Oak and South Fourth Street in Frackville.
According to Frackville Police, the incident occurred at approximately 9:02 AM when Andrea Lorenzi, 39, of Ashland, was traveling eastbound on West Oak Street (State Route 61) in a Jeep SUV. As she approached a curve near the intersection with South Fourth Street, Lorenzi was unable to navigate the bend.

Her vehicle reportedly struck a concrete pole before crashing into the side of a nearby residence. The SUV came to rest on its driver’s side, trapping Lorenzi inside.

Frackville Fire Department and Englewood Friendship Fire Department responded to the scene and successfully extricated Lorenzi from the vehicle. She was then transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital – East by Frackville and Shenandoah EMS for treatment. Her condition has not been released at this time.

Assisting at the scene were Frackville Public Works, Steve’s Towing, and other emergency personnel. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

No other injuries were reported.
