A Berks County man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash along Aristes Highway near the Conyngham Township and Centralia Borough line.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Bloomsburg, the crash occurred around 2:41 p.m. on September 16, 2025. Troopers say a 2021 Moto Guzzi motorcycle, operated by Alan Clouser of West Reading, was traveling southbound when it failed to negotiate a downhill left-hand curve in the roadway.
Police noted that the section of road had recently been tarred and chipped, which made it difficult for the rider to regain control. The motorcycle exited the west side of the roadway, entered a ditch, and rolled south before coming to rest with significant damage. Clouser was thrown from the motorcycle during the crash.
Although Clouser had been wearing a full-face helmet, investigators said the helmet came off during the impact. He sustained suspected serious injuries. Emergency crews from Washington Fire Company Community Ambulance transported him to a landing zone, where he was flown by Lehigh Valley Health Network Medevac to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for treatment.
The motorcycle was towed from the scene by Klisher’s Towing.
Trooper Brent Beaver investigated the crash with assistance from Trooper Paul Kelly, the Aristes Fire Company, Washington Fire Company Community Ambulance, Lehigh Valley Health Network Medevac, and Klisher’s Towing.
