Mahanoy City Elks Deliver Holiday Comfort Items to Lebanon VA Hospital

Members of Mahanoy City Lodge No. 695, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, delivered $1,800 worth of personal comfort items to the Lebanon VA Medical Center on Thursday, December 18, 2025, just in time for the holiday season.
The items were purchased through a Gratitude Grant provided by the Elks National Foundation (ENF). After being ordered and carefully packed by lodge members, the comfort items were transported to the facility, where they will be sorted and distributed to veterans receiving care.

The donation is part of a broader effort by the Mahanoy City Elks to support veterans and the local community. In 2025, the lodge received a total of $11,500 in grants from the Elks National Foundation. These grants were made possible by achieving membership donation goals and successfully applying for ENF funding to address veterans’ needs, support charitable initiatives, and fund projects aimed at improving quality of life in local communities.
