Troopers responded to a report of a possibly abandoned vehicle located west of Route 924 and north of Furnace Road in Shenandoah Borough. Upon arrival, police located a 2008 Subaru Outback and found Joshua Albert Drumheller inside.
Drumheller told police he was homeless and using the vehicle for shelter. A routine NCIC/CLEAN check revealed an active Schuylkill County Adult Probation and Parole warrant issued on June 2, 2025. The warrant was confirmed on scene.
During the investigation, troopers discovered Drumheller was in possession of a Sturm-Ruger .22 caliber pistol along with a magazine containing eight .22 caliber rounds.
A criminal history review showed Drumheller pleaded guilty in October 2024 to Felony 2 Criminal Trespass and Felony 3 Criminal Mischief, convictions that prohibit him from possessing a firearm.
Drumheller was charged with Felony 2 – Possession of a Firearm Prohibited and was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker, who ordered him held in Schuylkill County Prison on $15,000 straight cash bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 29, 2025, before Judge Kilker.
