An Ashland man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor drug charges stemming from a 2022 investigation, according to court records.
William Charles Bracey, 66, of Ashland, was charged on January 30, 2026, by the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office in connection with a search conducted on October 18, 2022, at a residence along Middle Street in the Borough of Ashland.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, members of the Pennsylvania State Police executed a court-authorized search and seizure warrant at approximately 5:10 p.m. Bracey allowed officers into the residence and stated he was a narcotics user, indicating that all narcotics were located in one area of the home.
A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of multiple controlled substances and drug-related items, including:
- Twelve plastic baggies containing suspected methamphetamine
- One plastic baggie containing suspected fentanyl
- Two plastic baggies containing suspected cocaine
- One plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana
- Numerous unused resealable plastic baggies
- One digital scale
Investigators reported Bracey later provided a written statement after being advised of his Miranda rights, admitting involvement in the sale of methamphetamine and claiming ownership of all contraband recovered from the residence.
The seized substances were submitted to the Pennsylvania State Police Harrisburg Regional Laboratory for analysis. Laboratory testing confirmed approximately 97.7 grams of methamphetamine, 0.45 grams of fentanyl, 1.38 grams of cocaine, and 3.23 grams of marijuana.
Based on the quantity of drugs seized, the presence of packaging materials and a digital scale, and Bracey’s statements, investigators concluded the methamphetamine was possessed with intent to deliver rather than for personal use.

Court records show Bracey was arraigned on January 30, 2026, before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and released on $75,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11, 2026.
