Nearly 3,000 runners filled the streets of Pottsville Saturday morning for the 2026 Yuengling Lager Jogger, continuing a long-standing tradition that blends fitness, community, and support for veterans.
While the exact number of attendees was not available. The crowd for the event was the largest since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The annual 5K once again brought together participants of all ages and backgrounds, all running with a shared purpose, raising awareness and support for Team Red, White & Blue, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and wellness of American veterans.
The race began and ended near the historic Yuengling Brewery, guiding runners along a 3.1-mile course through Mahantango Street, West Norwegian Street, South 22nd Street, Howard Avenue, and back via South 20th Street.
Kyle Price of New Jersey once again led the field, crossing the finish line in 17:13 to claim the overall title. A familiar name at the top of the leaderboard, Price maintained a steady pace throughout the course to secure another victory.
In the women’s division, Jill Norbert-Bushinsky captured first place with a time of 20:49.
Debbie Yuengling was present at both the start and finish lines, cheering on participants and helping energize the crowd. Prior to the race, Dale Verchick performed the National Anthem, setting a patriotic tone for the event.
Following the race, runners and spectators gathered back at the brewery grounds for a post-race celebration. Live music from Hooligan kept the energy going as participants enjoyed the festivities.
