According to an affidavit of probable cause filed by Saint Clair Police, officers were dispatched on Thursday, April 9, 2026, to follow up on an assault report.
Police reported that the victim had visible injuries upon contact, including blood on the right side of her face. She told officers she had been involved in a verbal argument with her partner, identified as Steven Jan Satori, 57, of Saint Clair, which turned physical.
The victim told police the argument began over text messages after Satori allegedly took her phone. She reported that Satori reached toward her neck area, at which point she slapped him. She further alleged that Satori then struck her multiple times in the face with a closed fist.
Officers documented several injuries, including redness and swelling around the right eyebrow, a laceration approximately two inches in length, and a raised bump on her forehead. Additional minor scratches were observed on her hands and neck.
Police said Satori later provided a statement consistent with the sequence of events and admitted that he “snapped” and struck the victim, causing injury to her face.
Satori has been charged with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker and committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 straight cash bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 21, 2026, before Magisterial District Judge Edward Lewis in Port Carbon.
