Gun, Cash, Pocketknives Reported Stolen in Girardville Theft


State Police are investigating a theft involving a handgun and other items reported in Girardville earlier this month.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, troopers responded to a residence on West Ogden Street in Girardville Borough on May 8, 2026, for a report of a theft.

Police say the investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) removed a Smith & Wesson handgun along with three magazines, two two-dollar bills, several pocketknives, and cash from the home sometime between November 2025 and May 2026.

The stolen items were listed as:
  • A Smith & Wesson SW40VE silver and black pistol valued at $350
  • Three magazines for the handgun valued at $120
  • Three miscellaneous pocketknives valued at $90
  • Two $5 bills valued at $10
