Ashland Woman Charged with Endangering Welfare of Children, Furnishing Alcohol to Minors

An Ashland woman is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after an investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police allegedly found that she supplied alcohol to two underage individuals and placed their welfare at risk.
Agnes Rose Jessman, 29, of Ashland, was charged on June 17, 2026, before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of Children, both third-degree felonies, two counts of Corruption of Minors, first-degree misdemeanors, and two counts of Selling or Furnishing Liquor to Minors, third-degree misdemeanors. Court records show the case is awaiting a preliminary hearing.

According to the criminal complaint and affidavit of probable cause filed by the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the investigation began in July 2025 after troopers received information and videos found on an Apple iPad that were related to an unrelated investigation. Authorities said the videos showed a 15-year-old female in Jessman's residence appearing highly intoxicated and, in some recordings, unconscious and vomiting.

Police said additional videos reviewed from the device showed underage drinking inside the home. Investigators alleged that one video dated June 1, 2025, showed several people gathered in Jessman's kitchen with alcohol present.

According to the affidavit, the juvenile later told investigators she frequently spent weekends at Jessman's residence between April and July 2025, where she and others would socialize, drink alcohol and smoke marijuana. The girl allegedly told investigators that Jessman would ask what drinks she wanted and provide them.

Police alleged that during one incident, the juvenile consumed a large Twisted Tea and became ill, eventually lying over a trash can in the kitchen. Investigators also stated the juvenile reported that alcohol consumed on another occasion had been purchased at a business outside Ashland before being brought back to the residence.

Authorities allege that the furnishing of alcohol caused one of the juveniles to become sick and constituted a violation of Jessman's duty of care.

The charges were filed on June 17, 2026. A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
