Police Investigating After Dog Shot in Ashland Borough


Ashland Borough Police are investigating an animal cruelty incident after a dog was reportedly shot Sunday evening while in its yard.
According to police, the incident occurred around 8:12 p.m. on June 7, 2026, in the 1100 block of Market Street.

Authorities said an unknown individual shot a 3-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix while the animal was on the property. The dog suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a veterinary emergency facility in Hershey for surgery.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
