According to court documents, Regenald Rogers, 34, of Mahanoy City, is charged with two counts of simple assault, one count of recklessly endangering another person and one count of harassment stemming from the July 7 incident. Rogers remains incarcerated in Schuylkill County Prison after being unable to post $25,000 monetary bail. His preliminary hearing has been continued until July 28 before Magisterial District Judge Edward M. Lewis.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by St. Clair Police, officers were dispatched to Lehigh Valley East Hospital around 1:13 a.m. on July 7 for a report of a woman who had allegedly been assaulted by Rogers.
Police said the victim had visible injuries, including bruising to her left cheek, a deep laceration to her lip that was actively bleeding and a significant amount of dried blood on her clothing and body.
The victim told police she and Rogers had recently separated despite previously being engaged. She said she had been staying at a friend's home on North Front Street in St. Clair when Rogers arrived to confront her.
According to the affidavit, the victim left the residence because Rogers was yelling at her and she wanted to get away. She told police she began walking toward Burma Road, where a friend from Mahanoy City was coming to pick her up.
Police allege Rogers chased the victim into the 400 block of East Hancock Street, where he repeatedly struck her in the face with a closed fist, causing bruising and the laceration to her lip.
The affidavit states the victim told police Rogers also threatened her life, allegedly telling her that she "made him this way" and that he was going to kill her.
During the assault, the victim told police Rogers took her cellphone, preventing her from calling for help. She also alleged Rogers struck her three to four times with a small tree branch, causing scratches and redness to her chest.
According to police, the victim's friend, arrived to pick her up. As the victim attempted to get into the vehicle, Rogers allegedly grabbed her arm in an effort to stop her. The affidavit states the friend pulled on the victim's other arm from inside the vehicle until Rogers eventually released her, allowing the group to leave.
Police said the victim was transported to Lehigh Valley East Hospital for treatment due to the severity of her injuries.
The victim's friend reportedly told police they heard Rogers yelling at Strouse and observed a significant amount of blood on her when they arrived.
Roger was taken into custody on July 12th, 2026 and remains locked up in Schuylkill County Prison.
