It is with deep sadness that we announce, Rita M. Beach, 79, of Stein’s Mill passed away Saturday while a resident of Tremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lucy Zimmerman Beach.

Rita was a graduate of Minersville Area High School in 1964.

She was a member of Frieden’s Lutheran Church in Llewellyn.

Rita worked and retired from Rest Haven Nursing Home where she worked as a Dietary Aid. She was also a member of Schuylkill County Retired Employees Association.

She was a sports enthusiast. Rita loved to follow Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State football, and NASCAR. She enjoyed playing cards and go on shopping sprees and vacationing.

Rita loved her family and survived by her sisters, Diane Hentz, companion of Bill Boyer of Hegins and Sheila, wife of Andrew Koinski of Schuylkill Haven. She is also survived by nieces, Anitra Coicou and Autumn Walshaw and nephew Alex Koinski along with several cousins, great nieces and great nephew.

The family wishes to acknowledge the kind and loving staff at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center for the care they provided to Rita.

Private services will be officiated by Pastor Beissel at the convenience of the family. Interment will be on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Mildred D. "Millie" Bachert
, age 78, of Pottsville, PA passed away Friday, July 17th, 2026 at her home.

Born in Pottsville, PA on July 11, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Eleanora (Webber) Donton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Edward A. "Moose" Bachert. brothers: Robert and Glenn Edling and Clayton Donton, sisters: Neida Ford, Eleanor Mason, Ann Marie Donton, Laura LuKach, and Oleda Hardy and a granddaughter Andi Wallick.

Millie is survived by son Michael Kroznuskie and his wife Denise; daughters: Millie Kroznuskie; Erica Reeder and her husband Mike, and Josie Wallick and her husband Nick; grandchildren: Jessica (Mike) Mistishen, Andrea (Justin) Chambers, Alexa Gustis, Audrey (Lazaro) Wallick, Adrienne (Dylan) Ellinger, Aaliyah Bachert, Alex Kroznuskie, Aedan Reeder, and Aaron Reeder; great grandchildren: Kylee, Carter, Abby, Bailey, Auro, and Arya; sister Joann Schuster; and many nieces and nephews.

A Religious Service will be held at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, Port Carbon at 11AM on Saturday, July 25th, with Rev. Michael Mistishen officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday morning from 9:30-11AM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
