St. Clair to Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with Weekend of Events

The Borough of St. Clair will continue its celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday this weekend with several community events, entertainment, fireworks, and family activities.

The festivities continue Friday, July 10, 2026, with a Block Party at Admiral Boone Park. The Alert Fire Company will host a food sale and beer garden beginning at 5:00pm.

The evening will also include Rita’s Ice Cream Truck, Atomic Food Kitchen Food Truck, pony rides, balloon animals, and live music by Dale and the Legends from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

A highlight of Friday night’s celebration will be the dropping of a lit Fleur-De-Lis at the conclusion of the event. The Fleur-De-Lis was constructed by students Shelby Beidleman, Colin Simmons, Cole Reichert, and Cory Seafoss with guidance from Fred Cicero, Precision Machine Trade Shop instructor, and Doug DelConte, Welding Shop instructor, all from the Schuylkill Technology Center in Marlin. The Fleur-De-Lis will be suspended from an Alert Fire Company truck before being dropped.

On Saturday, July 11, 2026, the celebration continues with the Schuylkill Outdoor Markets at Veterans Memorial Stadium from 10:00am until 2:00pm, featuring various food trucks and craft vendors.

Entertainment will be provided by The Strum Brothers from 10:00am to 2:00pm. A mini-car cruise will also be held during the market, giving children the opportunity to take two laps around the stadium track in their battery-operated cars.

Later Saturday evening, the St. Clair Car Cruise will begin at 6:00pm and run until approximately 8:00pm, with trophies awarded. During the cruise, Kelly Wertz will provide face painting in front of the Rescue Hook & Ladder Company in St. Clair and later at Veterans Memorial Stadium before the fireworks.

The night will conclude with a fireworks display at Veterans Memorial Stadium at dusk. Gates for the fireworks open at 8:00pm.

The weekend wraps up Sunday, July 12, 2026, with the opening of a time capsule at Veterans Memorial Stadium beginning at 4:00pm.

The celebration will conclude Sunday evening with entertainment by the bluegrass band Coal Fired Ramblers at Admiral Boone Park from 7:00pm to 9:30pm.
