James Stephen Tray
, age 80, of Pottsville, PA passed away Sunday, August 16th, 2026 at Schuylkill Center, in Pottsville.

Born on December 1, 1945 in Pottsville PA, he was the son of the late Joseph John and Wanda M. (Pawlowski) Tray.

Jim was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 till 1968. 

Jim worked in electronics at Tamaqua Cable until retiring.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mildred T. "Milly" (Lehan) Tray, step-son Robert M. Bensinger, step-daughter Deborah Bensinger, sisters: Rosemary Brown, Martha Cash, Elizabeth Sauchick, Gladys Lisnock, Janet Conville, Kathleen Hepner; and brother Joseph Tray Jr.

Jim is survived by daughter Cheryl Peterson (Brian), Tooele, Utah; step-daughters Diane Miller (James), Delano and Lori Scintilla (Nick), Drums; sister Wanda Svrcek; 21 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday August 20th from 10am-12noon at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery, St. Clair at 10AM on Friday, August 21st, .

Barry Allen Dierwechter
, 74, of Pottsville, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, at home with family by his side.

Born in Pottsville on May 26, 1952, Barry was a son of the late Glenn and Doris (Mease) Dierwechter.

Barry was the loving husband of Lynn (Dougherty) Dierwechter, to whom he was married for 30 years.

He was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, class of 1971.

Barry owned Dierwechter's Used Auto Parts and Helping Hands Wildlife Center.

Barry was a member of the National Turkey Federation and enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures, including building show cars, fishing and spending time in Wildwood, NJ. He was known for his collection of crazy t-shirts and his wild, unforgettable sense of humor. Above all, Barry cherished his cats, his beloved wife and children. The love for his family, sense of humor, and unique personality will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Barry is also survived by children Duane Zimmerman Jr., husband of Mandy and Ashley Dinanath, wife of Ray; grandchildren Ethan, Brianna, Carter and Kathleen; nieces and nephews; sister Renea Kalbach, wife of Joseph; and brother Sam Hummel.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, August 21st at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven with Pastor Vinny Murray officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 5:00pm until the time of services. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
