A Girardville woman is facing charges after Pennsylvania State Police said she repeatedly reported that people had broken into her home and were hiding in the attic, but troopers found no one inside.
Troopers Respond to Girardville Home
According to Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, Angela Zdeira, 58, contacted troopers around 12:30 p.m. on , and reported that two people had broken into her home on B Street in Girardville.
Troopers responded to the residence but did not find anyone inside, police said.
Police Review Earlier Reports
During the investigation, state police reviewed their records and determined that Zdeira had reported seven similar incidents during the previous two months.
Police said each of those earlier reports was also determined to be unfounded.
Charges Filed
Zdeira was charged with false reports, misuse of a 911 line and disorderly conduct, according to the police release.
The charges are allegations. Zdeira is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
