Remembering Trooper Michael E. Pahira Jr.

The school announced that a remembrance for Pahira will take place before kickoff at Spartan Stadium. Pahira, 44, died in the line of duty on July 1 while working along Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County.

Pahira was a 2001 North Schuylkill graduate who played football and wrestled for the Spartans. The school described him as a valued member of its community. His funeral service was held at North Schuylkill High School in July.

In his honor, the student section will have a Country and Western theme. Students are encouraged to wear cowboy hats, boots, flannel and denim.
