The Mahanoy City Elks Lodge continued its long-standing tradition of honoring those who served by hosting its annual Veterans Dinner on Monday, November 11th.
The Shenandoah Valley School District paused on Monday to honor those who have served our nation during a Veterans Day program hosted by the Shenandoah Valley Student Council and the Shenandoah Valley Band.
Despite cold rain and wind, dozens of residents gathered in Mahanoy City on Sunday afternoon to honor America’s fallen service members during a rededication of the borough’s Veterans Memorial Wall at the intersection of West Centre and Catawissa Streets.

In a moving tribute to Veterans Day, where the local VFW and American Legion congregated at the intersection of 5th and Centre Streets. From this point, they solemnly proceeded to the Veterans Memorial at Centre and Hoffman Boulevard.
To thank local military veterans for their service to our country, Geisinger will host drive-through Veterans Appreciation dinners at nine locations across the health system’s service area on Wednesday, Nov. 10.
