Eight Historic Flags were recently purchased and donated to the Mahanoy City Lodge No. 695 by Elks, Gerard Kufrovich and Cheryl Sabol, for use in the annual Ceremony held by Elk Lodges on Flag Day to honor and show respect to our Flag.
The ceremony presents the history of the flag beginning with the Pine Tree Flag of 1775 to our current 50 Star Flag. The flags were donated in memory of their parents, Gertrude Kufrovich and Frank Balas.
