Thousands of Dollars in Copper Cable Stolen from Schuylkill County Maintenance Site

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating a report of copper cable stolen from a maintenance site in Cass Township.

Troopers say sometime between October 3rd, 2021 and October 22nd, 2021, someone stolen industrial copper cable with rubber coating, also known as "Bologna Cable", that is approximately 3 inches in diameter from an area under maintenance by Reading Anthracite along Valley Road.

The amount of cable stolen is estimated between 1,500 feet and 2,000 feet with an estimated cost of $22,500 to $40,000.
