$100,000 in Copper Stolen from Property in Pottsville


The Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of copper from a property in Pottsville.

According to Troopers, they learned of the theft on December 8th, 2021 when Pottsville Broadcasting Inc. reported that someone cut the fence around the five radio antenna towers on North Street.

Police said that the incident happened sometime between Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 at 10:00pm and Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at 7:30am.

It's estimated that approximately $100,000 in copper/secondary metal was stolen.

State Police continue to investigate the incident.
