Shamokin Man Wanted for Stabbing 

in Mount Carmel on Friday Night

The Mount Carmel Police Department have arrested a Shamokin man they say wass wanted for a stabbing in the borough on Friday night.

Update:  Danaher was taken into custody on Saturday morning.


According to Police, on Friday night, a victim arrived at Geisinger Hospital in Shamokin with multiple stab wounds and lacerations to his face, head, torso, thigh and arm.  The incident reportedly occurred at 108 North Beech Street in Mount Carmel around 11:10pm, Friday night. 

Mount Carmel Police are seeking Adam Patrick Danaher, 43, with a last known address of 642 Hillside Avenue in Shamokin for the incident.

Danaher had fled the scene prior to Police arriving and was unable to be located. 

Mount Carmel Police have charged Danaher with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Possessing Instruments of Crime and related charges. 

A warrant from Northumberland County Probation and Parole was also issued for Danaher. 

The victim in the incident is being last as being in critical condition.
