UPDATE: State Police Investigating Fatal Hit and Run in Shenandoah


In an update to a previous post, the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal hit and run in Shenandoah early Saturday morning.

Just after 5:00am, Saturday, a body was found laying along Route 924 on the bridge just south of Shenandoah in the area of Friendly's Food Mart.

Route 924 was closed in the area while State Police and the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office were at the scene.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop L Public Information Officer Trooper Beohm, the incident was a fatal hit and run.

As of 10:00am, Route 924 was still closed and State Police are still at the scene.  The identity of the victim has not been released.
