Mahanoy City Search Warrants Result in Two Arrests; Drugs and Firearms Seized


Law enforcement served two search warrants on Wednesday morning that resulted in two arrests.

On Wednesday morning, Mahanoy City Police along with agents from the Attorney Generals Office in Allentown served two search warrants at two locations within the borough as a result of a narcotics investigation that had concluded over the past months. 

During the searches, Police and Agents recovered approximately $131,780.00 in cash, 6 firearms with one being stolen, 1 airsoft gun, 505 grams of Fentanyl or approx. 4,456 individual doses, marijuana, and methamphetamine. 

As a result Edwin Roman Astor, 20,  and Coralys Laboy Lopez, 34, both of Mahanoy City were arrested.

The pair was charged with 2 counts of Felony Possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, 1 count of Felony Conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance, Felony receiving stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both were committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $125,000 straight cash bail by Judge Anthony Kilker. 

Assisting with serving the search warrants were the Mahanoy Twp Police, along with the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force Service.
