Mega Millions Jackpot for Friday Evening Reaches $1.35 Billion

The Jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing has reached $1.35 billion.

Friday the 13th could turn out to be a lucky day for someone, if they win the Mega Millions® which now features a jackpot worth an estimated annuity value of $1.35 billion, or $724.6 million cash, for the next drawing tonight. If the jackpot is won at $1.35 billion, it will be the second-largest prize in the history of the game.

“Some people are superstitious about Friday the 13th, but if you’re feeling lucky it only takes one ticket to win a life-changing prize of this size,” said Pennsylvania Lottery Executive Director Drew Svitko. “Imagine all of the good things you could do if you won, like help family or local communities. Along with those possibilities comes the fact of knowing that proceeds from ticket sales in Pennsylvania go to help seniors in the state, so it’s a win-win.”

The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on October 14, 2022, when tickets sold in California and Florida shared a $502 million prize.

If there is no Mega Millions® winner in tonight’s drawing, the jackpot for the Tuesday, January 17 drawing will be an estimated $1.62 billion, or $869.5 million cash.

The current record jackpot is $1.537 billion, which was sold in South Carolina on October 23, 2018. The last time a Mega Millions® jackpot was won in Pennsylvania was on May 21, 2021.
