A Pottsville man died from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 2:00pm on Bulls Head Road at the intersection with Elm Street in Norwegian Township.
Troopers say James Davidson, 84, of Pottsville was riding a Honda Trail 125 motorcycle west on Elm Street when he came to a stop at the intersection with Bulls Head Road.
Davidson reportedly failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a Chevrolet Cruze, driving by Jori Stefnic, 30, of Pottsville, who was traveling north on Bulls Head Road.
Police say Davidson was not wearing a helmet and sustained major injuries and was transported by Schuylkill EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill where he succumbed to his injuries.
Stefnic was not injured in the crash.
Assisting police at the scene were the Minersville Fire and Rescue, Mar Lin Citizen's Hose, Seltzer Hose, Yorkville Hose, and Schuylkill EMS.
