The Mahanoy City Elks Lodge 695 present a check this week to assist veterans.
Exalted Ruler, Linda Fetter, presented a $1,000 ENF Freedom Grant to Victoria Spitler, Executive Director for Veterans Multi-Service Center in Pottsville at their Flag Day Program held June 14th at the Lodge.
The funds were used to purchase 10 $100 gift cards to assist veterans and their families who are experiencing homelessness and/or a housing crisis.
