A horse was severely injured in a hit and run near the Schuylkill/Northumberland County line last weekend.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Stonington, sometime between 11:00pm on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, and 8:00am on Sunday, August 27th, 2023, a hit and run crash occurred in the area of 405 Old State Road near Klingerstown/Jordan Township, Northumberland County.
During the crash, an unknown vehicle left the roadway and struck a fence. A 2-year-old horse int he pasture sustained a severe injury as a result of the crash.
The driver did not stop and fled the scene towards Klingertown Road.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a red/maroon vehicle with damage to its front headlight, side mirror, and roof.
