Schuylkill County Nonprofit COVID-19 Relief Grant Program Launched

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA) will serve as the administrator of the Schuylkill County Nonprofit COVID-19 Relief Grant Program.

This initiative seeks to address the formidable challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent economic disruptions, exacerbated by its enduring impact.

Fueled by funding secured through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the Schuylkill County Nonprofit COVID-19 Relief Grant Program is aimed at extending a lifeline to tax-exempt organizations operating under the purview of Internal Revenue Code sections 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(19). These organizations, often the backbone of community services, have grappled with severe economic and financial hardships resulting directly from the pandemic.

The pandemic's onslaught left many nonprofit entities teetering on the brink of closure, with their ability to cover essential expenses such as payroll, rent, and day-to-day operational costs severely compromised.

Through the Schuylkill County Nonprofit COVID-19 Relief Grant Program, local nonprofit organizations will be provided with vital assistance. This aid can be utilized to implement enhanced safety protocols or to alleviate financial distress stemming from a net economic loss incurred during the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Organizations seeking to access these resources are encouraged to submit grant applications promptly.
